Simon Smith - Head of Fraud

SCAMAssist (SCAMAssist) is headed up by Simon Smith, Australia's leading online fraud and cybercrime forensic investigator and expert witness.

Mr. Smith is the Head of Fraud and brings with him over 23 years of solid industry experience and expertise. He is a nationally accredited mediator and conciliator, and has been appointed as a Commonwealth Dispute Resolution Practitioner.

He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, well recognised expert in cybersecurity and cybercrime, digital forensics, fraud cases, e-crime, AI/ML/BCI & programming algorithms, Dark web, Deepfake, cryptocurrency and blockchain, deception detection, banking case management and audio/document/source code analysis.

Simon is a computer programming expert, banking and finance process expert and investigator. He currently specialises in cases involving cybercrime, financial crime, online scam investigations, cybersecurity, mobile & computer forensics, online fraud and information security.

He is an Australian public figure for cybercrime intelligence - as well as 'the' Expert Witness for Cyber & IT cases in AU/NZ Courts.

He consults in cyberstalking, cybercrime, cybersecurity, blockchain, online fraud, dark web, software, security auditing, litigation assistance and technology cases.

He now testifies in civil and criminal cases. He is an expert in IP tracking and has solved over 500 cases, and helped recover millions of dollars from online scams. SecurityNow's Ken Hess has called him "Perhaps the World's Best Investigator".

He has appeared on Sky News, SBS, The Project (10), Spotlight (7NEWS), Today (9), ABC (2) A Current Affair (9), Amazon Prime, radio, and is an Hon. board member of EC Council (IIB).

He is currently engaged as the sole defence expert witness in several AN0M, ANOM, special operation ironside cases.
